The number one sports source in the nation recently revealed its new app.
The app used to be called “SportsCenter” but has been renamed into “ESPN” and has been redesigned to be less cluttered and far simpler. But what’s more important is that there is finally an app for the iPad. There is a “Now” section in the app that incorporates Twitter in it so it shows you links and stories that you may wish to read. Also, there is a “Favorites” section which makes following your favorite teams a walk in the park.

2. Saturday Night Live
To celebrate its 40th anniversary, SNL has recently launched a new app that features every sketch it’s ever done. There are 5,500 sketches you can watch in the app. This is quite impressive, seeing how the app is completely free. And as episodes will continue to air, more sketches will be included in the SNL app.

Workflow got better last week with numerous new features such as advanced sharing and 50 new workflows. But even though Workflow has been updated by the developers, it’s still missing a crucial function: the capability to sync workflows between different devices.

6. Starbucks
The Starbucks app just got Apple Pay support. However, it isn’t the way you expect it to be. Unfortunately you can only use Apple Pay to recharge your Starbucks card in the app. At the register, barcodes will still be scanned because Starbucks shops haven’t started using NFC payment options. They will probably start offering Apple Pay within stores in the near future and until then this is definitely a step forward.

Having Darkroom is kind of like having Lightroom on your smartphone. It’s not very difficult to see why Apple chose to feature the app on the front page in the App Store.
